Curious about what to look for as you observe in IM Classrooms and facilitate teacher learning? This session is for coaches and school leaders who are implementing IM 6–12 Math with their teachers. In this session, we will use classroom video and vignette to focus on student learning behaviors in a problem-based classroom, make connections between teacher moves and student learning behaviors, and reflect on how to support teacher learning based on what we observe.

How do we create an environment to support teachers in successful implementation of IM K–5 Math? This session teaches school leaders ways they can support teachers during the initial implementation of IM K–5 Math. Particular focus will be given to prioritized areas that most impact student learning at the beginning of implementation. School leaders will be given tools to focus their teacher support and classroom observations in ways that support teachers in collaborative planning environments.
